Always Excellent, Never Mediocre. That has long been the motto of Ateneo Lex, and no truer statement could have been applicable to the organization. With all the projects that Lex handles, from bazaars, to conferences, to law talks, and even a few outreach programs, it never ceases to be excellent. However last December 3, 2011, was a chance for the members Lex to finally relax, chill and “let their hair down”. This was the case because that was the day for the long awaited GA of the org with the very Christmas-y theme of “Naughty or Nice”, but it came with a twist; for the first time, the GA was held off-campus inside the Blue Onion club in Eastwood.
The emcees for the event, Jaz Reyes and Mico Suba did a spectacular job of keeping the energy high, all night long with their great jokes and even greater chemistry. Indeed, the job they did was very essential in ensuring a successful night, and indeed what a successful night it was.
The GA started true to form with its Christmas theme when it opened with a very good number from the Lex Carollers which really gave all of us a dash of that wonderful Christmas feeling. After that, we got livened up even more with some really fun naughty and nice dares for the really game participants. Pretty much each and every dare promised a huge amount of laughter and fun for all of us.
When the games were done, Lex also showed the crowd a video of its upcoming projects for the year 2012, and the vibe to it, even as a preview was very great, and it seems like 2012 will continue to be a successful year for the organization.
After that short preview, the GA was back on when Lex showcased how it is much more than an organization filled with smart and responsible people. It is also filled with very beautiful and handsome people ready to wow anyone who comes their way, as evidenced when they modelled for the crowd in spectacular fashion.
In the closing moments of the GA, the results of another of Lex’s projects, the dating auction was announced, and the crowd was really in to the results, showing applause, and “kilig” for all of the auction winners. And to cap off what had been an amazing night were the reward for the people who really took to heart the theme of the night. They were the ones awarded for being best dressed in both the naughty and nice categories. After that, the program officially ended, and the after-party, the main reason why this was so awaited, finally began. And sure enough, it was as amazing a party as any.
This GA was another testament to how the organization truly lives up to its motto, because even when it is relaxing and having fun, it never stops being Excellent.
